1. ATTEND THE CARNIVAL

Time:
Sunday, March 8 at 10:30am to 1:00pm

Megillah Show:
Deena Nyer Mendlowitz and her Improv Troupe will be returning for the 4th year to lead the congregation in Purim-themed improv games and hear members of our congregation read our kid-friendly Megillah.

1st Annual Costume Contest:
Adults and children, put on your best costume for a chance to win an Amazon, Starbucks or Target gift card.

Raffle:
Purchase tickets for a chance to win an LG 55-inch 4K smart LED TV

Games:
NEW THIS YEAR! Purim Carnival UNLIMITED Wristbands. $15 presale (until Thursday, March 5) or $18 at the door allows you to play all the games and participate in all the booths you want for the duration of the carnival.

2. VOLUNTEER FOR CARNIVAL
Roll-up your sleeves to help make the big day happen

Times:
- Day-Before Setup: Saturday, March 7 at 10:30am (a light lunch will be provided) 
- Day-Of Staffing: Sunday, March 8-- please arrive at 10:45am unless you'd like to attend the Megillah!

Opportunities:
- The day before the carnival, we need people to help set up tables, games and the photo area.
- The day of the carnival, we need people to work games and help with food vending.

3. MAKE THE HAMANTASCHEN
Join fellow congregants at ST-KA in assembling the strawberry, apricot, chocolate and poppyseed treats

   February 29 at 10:30 am

Order no later than Monday, March 2nd.

$4 / half-dozen—each flavor must be ordered in quantities of three.

Attend the Learning Shabbat after the 6:00 PM services on Friday, February 28th.

Dinner:
Enjoy a light meal in the Mandel-Gries Social Hall as the smells of baking Hamantaschen fill the air.

So, you think you’re loud? Prove it.

Details:
E-mail the video* to J.B. Davis and he’ll put it on the Temple’s site and / or Facebook. An expert panel will use the world-renowned Suburban Temple Kol-Ami Haman-o-Meter™ to pick the 3 loudest videos. Winners will receive a $25 gift card, parents our heartfelt thanks.

8. RAISE YOUR GLASS
It’s the Whole Megillah. But with beer.

Details:
Join Rabbi Vann and fellow congregants at the Winking Lizard (25380 Miles Rd, Bedford, OH 44146) for
an adult look at the Megillah.

9. HELP OUR COMMUNITY
Make some noise while giving back!

Date:
Sunday, March 8th... at the Purim Carnival!

Details:
- Join ST-KA congregants and members of our community in addressing food insecurity.
- Please bring boxes of Macaroni and Cheese (or other dry pasta) to the Carnival so they can be used as additional greggors (noisemakers) at the Megillah-themed improv.
- They will be donated to the JFSA Food Pantry afterwards.

10. FULFILL THE MITZVOT
To honor what Purim stands for, we’re commanded to complete four tasks.

Details:
Our tradition teaches us that there are four Purim Mitzvot or Commandments, and you can fulfill them all by attending the Carnival!
  1. Hear the Megillah - which you can do by participating in the Megillah at before the Carnival.
  2. Feast at Purim – there will be lunch at the Carnival.
  3. Help the poor – bring boxes of Mac and Cheese (or other dry pasta) to the Carnival to make noise and ST-KA.
  4. Give Mishloach Manot – stop by booth at Carnival to create a Purim-themed gift to give to a family member or friend.
